Revisiting the past is not always a bad thing. Sometimes it's just what you need to move on.

So I spent all day teaching a trauma class. My day off and I have to spend it talking about work. Oh well...Maybe my vast wisdom will influence the practice of nurses to better save lives. Yeah..ok.
I went to work out this afternoon at Gold's and got hit on by a woman. I politley told her that "I'm sorry I'm married." (well not for long) I wonder....if it were a cute guy...would I have responded the same?
Men are liars. They will lie about lying if they have to. There are even algebra liars. They figure two good lies make a positive.

Went shopping today, took the kids to Chuckie Cheese..not much else. I just try to avoid staying at home too much. My goal this weekend is to take care of getting some things out of this house that no longer belong. I'll start with the pictures.
A good friend told me yesterday that "life is kind to those who love it, not to those who take advantage of it. You are a nurse and love life, otherwise you wouldn't work so hard to save it. He is an asshole who takes advantage of life. He has no respect for life. He will not be treated kindly. His life will take a turn for the worst. It's happened before to those who have wronged you. It will happen again."

Today was a good day. Work was steady, but actually fun. I am now enrolled in the Critical Care Course and loving it!
It' s nice to have friends that are so caring and supportive. My friends are the greatest. I thank you Lacey, Melody, Lisa, Mindy, Chris, Brandy, Robert, Susan, Jason, Angela, Richard, Fran, Debbie, Lara, and Dr Daftarian. Your love and support have been my rock to higher ground. I have realized that I do have true friends. Some people are not that lucky.
It's a funny thing about scorpions...if they are attacked and lose their stinger, it regenerates. Their sting also hurts like hell.

After Awhile
After awhile you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul.
And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning
And company doesn’t mean security.
And you begin to learn
That kisses aren’t contracts
And presents aren’t promises
And you begin to accept
Your defeats, with your held up and your eyes open
With the grace of an adult
Not the grief of a child.
And you learn to build all of your roads on today.
Because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain.
And Futures have a way of falling down in mid- flight
After awhile, you learn that even sunshine burns
if you get too much.
So plant your own garden and decorate your own soul
Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers
And you learn that you really can endure
And that you really are strong
And that you really do have worth
And you learn…and you learn
With every goodbye you learn.
Goodbye Josh.
